World largest manufacturer of bricks in Mali Iđoš - company Wienerberger International" bought tile factory "Bačka nova"

Company "Wienerberger International", a daughter company of "Wienerberger" concern, the world largest manufacturer of bricks, announced yesterday (January 21, 2008) that it had bought factory for prouction of tiles "Bačka nova" in Mali Iđoš and that it had planned to invest 12m EUR in modernization of technology and production.

According to the announcement, Serbia will be producing bricks in the same way as it is done in Europe, and products of "Wienerberger", which are considered to be of the highest quality in the world, will be available on domestic market at competitive prices.

Company "Wienerberger international" has announced that it will invest 12m EUR in Serbia in introduction of new technologies and world standards for quality of products and environment protection.

The company has announced that, in association with local authorities and provincial governent, it will also invest in construction of bypass around Mali Iđoš this year.

According to the announcement, products of "Wienerberger" are made of natural materials, with big energy saving in production, and porous block POROTHERM, which will be produced in our country, has special thermo-insulation characteristics that satisfy all world standards as far as thermal and sound insulation are concerned.

The company has 263 brickkilns in 25 countries of Europe and America and it is the world largest manufacturer of bricks and leading European manufacturer of roof systems, pipes and products for external paving.

Its products are present on the market of Serbia for 7 years and "Wienerberger" also has official branch office in our country since last year.
