Tender for privatization of "Jat" in April

General Manager of air transportation company "Jat Airways", Saša Vlaisavljević, said that the primary interest of that company was that the tender for privatization be announced in March or April.

- In that way, "Jat" would get fresh capital in form of investments for both revitalization of the existing fleet and and procurement of new airplanes already in this year, which the company needs because it expects permanent growth of business results - said Vlaisavljević.

He said that JAT planned to transport over 1.5 passengers in 2008.

- Year 2008 should be the best business year since 1990, so that it is completely understandable that we need strategic partner as soon as possible - Vlaisavljević pointed out.

Privatization strategy, for which US consulting company "Rothschild" is hired for, should be completed by the end of January, and the Government of Serbia should adopt it prior to the end of March.
