Belgrade to become regional DHL center for Balkans

General Manager of company "DHL International Beograd", Darko Babić, announced that DHL planned to introduce daily flight from DHL center in Leipzig to Belgrade, using "Airbus 300" for that purpose, and that Serbian capital city would become the link of the Western Balkans with the rest of the world.

Babić specified that DHL airplanes with the capacity of up to 5 tons flew daily to Belgrade, and that the plan was that, starting October 2008, "Airbus" airplane with 25-40 tons of packages arrived in the capital city of Serbia every morning.


If everything goes as planned, Belgrade will be receiving express DHL deliveries from Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina and forward it anywhere in the world. Babić has also announced the campaign for promotion of DHL services under the name of "Import express", which will be promoting simpler procedure for import that can be realized via DHL and unique account.
