Tender announced for construction of part of highway from Niš to Macedonian border, estimated value of works - 144m EUR

International tender for elaboration of the main project and construction of part of highway from Niš to Macedonian border has been announced.

- Ministry of Infrastructure has announced tender for construction of highway section Vladičin Han - Levosoj, 42.1 km long, and estimated value of the works is 144m EUR, said Minister of Infrastructure, Velimir Ilić, at the press conference.

Tender documentation for the second section through Grdelica gorge, 30 km long, will be prepared within next 6 months, and estimated value of these works amounts to 330m EUR.

- The project will be partially financed from Hellenic plan for economic reconstruction of the Balkans, whereas about 80% of the funds will be provided by the Government of Serbia - said State Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure Miodrag Jocić.

He reminded that Serbia had obtained 100m EUR from that program for construction of Pan-European corridor 10 (E-75), from Niš to border crossing Preševo.

Deadline for bids is April 29, 2008.
