The company Delta Holding announced on July 14 that it would start building a shopping mall in Banjaluka at the beginning of 2017, in which EUR 60 million would be invested and where 2,500 jobs would be opened.
As it's been stated, this will be the biggest investment in Republika Srpska and will employ the entire construction industry.
Banjaluka will get a modern 60,000 m2 structure, which will offer the most famous world brands to its visitors, as well as family entertainment, restaurants and coffee shops, Delta Holding announced.
The company says that the construction of a five-star InterContinental Hotel in Ljubljana, in which EUR 40 million will be invested, is going according to plan and that 45% of the construction was completed in the first six months of 2016. The opening is planned for the first half of 2017.
In Delta they say that they have big plans for the construction of real estate in Serbia and that the projects have been prepared and the financing of four large investments secured – the new business premises of Delta Holding, a regional shopping mall Delta Planet at Autokomanda, an InterContinental Hotel and business premises in New Belgrade.
Even after two and a half years of talks with the city authorities and the promises that all the necessary conditions will be secured, building permits haven't been given for either of these locations, the company says and adds that, considering that a significant number of resources is used in preparation of such locations, “there's no possibility, nor the will to wait forever for the necessary permits.”
