New Belgrade Philharmonic chief conductor chosen

Currently engaged as the general music director at the Dortmund Opera and chief conductor of the Dortmund Philharmonic, Gabriel Feltz was born in 1971 in Berlin, and has performed as the conductor of the leading German orchestras, which makes him one of the most prominent conductors of his generation.

The Belgrade Philharmonic is the first orchestra outside Germany in which Feltz will have a leading position. He started cooperating with the Philharmonic in 2008, and has conducted it several times so far, performing pieces by Wagner, Mahler and contemporary repertoire, even James Bond film music.
