"Robotakt" sold nine robots in Serbia - "metal people" weld, pack coffee and detergents, assemble water maters, polish things...

"Robotakt", the only Serbian company that assembles robots for domestic industry, sold nine robots last year at average price of 27,000 EUR – said Željko Krstivojević, CEO of that company from Valjevo, to the press.

- One of the world largest manufacturers of ABB sends robots to "Robotakt", and experts from the Valjevo company adapt them to the needs of the market by installation software and all other required equipment – he said.

- The life of the robot is 100,000 working hours. There are currently 30 robots in industrial sector in Serbia and much more in the surrounding countries. The most common robot on Serbian market weighs for 240 kilograms and it is about 1 meter high – said Krstivojević and added that “small metal people” were most often engaged in the welding and other activities.

According to his words, robot in the foundry in Sečanj works on the press, robots in Belgrade pack coffee and detergent, robot in Zemun assembles water meters, robot in Užice makes heating boilers, while the robot in Kula polishes sanitarian armatures.

- Robots are irreplaceable on the works that can not be done by the workers – CEO of the only Serbian manufacturer of robots pointed out. Massive introduction of robots in Serbian industry should be expected within next four or five years because working hour of a robot costs less than 2.5 EUR when the price, life and maintenance costs are calculated.
