New tender for Furniture Factory "Sloga" from Vladičin Han prior to end of January - Slovenians to replace Americans

Privatization Agency has
cancelled sale of Lumber industry "Sloga" from Vladičin Han from December 2005
when Mike Miller from the USA became the majority owner of capital of this
company (for 50,000 EUR). Acting Director of Sloga, Nikola Stoiljković,
confirmed that the new tender was expected before the end of January.
He says that the Share Fund invited all creditor to submit their claims towards that company and he adds that not only the buyers from Serbia, but also the buyers from the countries of former SFRY, are interested in procurement of 70% of capital of Sloga, and the most serious intentions have been presented by some companies from Slovenia.
The company currently has 214 workers instead of earlier 305. Income
from the sale of office and school furniture in December amounts to 11m RSD, 4m
RSD of which came from export.
By investing great efforts to start production, and with the support from business partners, the management of the company managed to pay late salaries for February, September and October in the average amount of 10,000 RSD each.
