"Agrokor", "Swisslion" and "Bunge limited" want "Vital"

Investors, mainly foreign, show big interest in procurement of oil factory "Vital". The most interested of all is corporation "Bunge limited" from New York, in cooperation with company "Midland resources", then there are Belgrade office, investment fund Fokus capital partners a. d. Beograd, "Agrokor" from Zagreb and "Swisslion - Takovo". According to words of Zdravko Anđelić, general director of "Vital", potential buyers have opportunity to learn the capacities and capabilities of this factory until July 15, whereas the first offers are expected before July 20.

According to criteria for determination of the qualifications of investors, which were adopted by the Administrative Board on the last meeting, only companies that deal with production of edible oils, oil products and other food products will be taken into consideration, under condition that their annual turnover is at the level of double turnover of "Vital".

According to that decision, the Administrative Board takes investment fund, which manages companies that meet required criteria and is legally registered in Republic of Serbia, as qualified strategic partner. Majority owner of Stock Company "Vital" are workers, retired persons of that company and citizens who own 60% of the stocks, whereas 40% of stocks is property of Share Fund. The owners of "Vital’s" stocks, according to the decision of the Assembly of Stockholders, will be paid company’s profit in 2004 of 51.2 million CSD, i.e. 60 CSD per stock, as dividend. "Vital" expects that, thanks to the opening of new unit for production of katchup and mayonnaise, total scope of production and sale in 2005 will be increased by 14.85%. Projected income is 4.6 billion CSD, whereas projected profit amounts to 132 million CSD.
