Runway at airport in Batajnica back in operation

- The runway no. 1 at Military airport "Batajnica", which was destroyed during the NATO bombing, is back in operation - Ministry of Defense announced.

It is stated on the web page of the Ministry that the building permit for use of the runway was issued on January 3rd and that the plan is that the stationary night start is built in 2008, which would enable operative use of the runway at night and in the bad weather conditions.

Works on rehabilitaton of the crater started in March 2003, but they were temporarily stopped.
