By analyzing financial reports for 2015, which were being submitted until the end end of February for statistical purposes, said Stamenkovic at the press conference, it was determined that in 2015 a financial profit of RSD 144 billion was made, whereas in 2014, the economy recorded a loss in nearly the same amount – RSD 133 billion.
A net profit was recorded by 54,475 business entities, and their total profits amounted to RSD467 billion, which is 14.6% more than in 2014. At the same time, 27,521 operated with losses amounting to a total of RSD 323 billion, whereas 10,846 enterprises recorded no results.
The improved ratio and the positive trend of the economy is, as she said, the result of an improved business ambiance, and even though she won`t deny that there are still problems of large debts, non-liquidity and accumulated losses, she points out that significant improvements have been made.
A selection of enterprises, excluding the public ones, those undergoing privatization or bankruptcy proceedings, that is, companies which operate in accordance with the market rules, have made a profit of RSD 198 billion.
While talking about public enterprises, she said that, in 2015, they made a net profit of RSD 8 billion, whereas in 2014, they recorded a loss of RSD 44 billion.
The main loss generators are enterprises undergoing privatization, which in 2015 had a loss of RSD 24 billion, and which was significantly reduced, by 66%, relative to the previous year. However, the number of business entities undergoing privatization also went down from 240 in 2014 to 96 in2015.
