Vucic to meet with Altavilla on July 1 – Looking to keep Fiat in Serbia beyond 2018

- I hope to bring good news regarding Fiat’s future – said Vucic and pointed out that it was important to get guarantees that there’s future for Fiat in Serbia and that it wouldn’t leave Serbia in 2018.

Let us remind that the company FCA Serbia recently announced cancelling one work shift and a number of workplaces in Kragujevac due to decreased demand for vehicles. Representatives of the unions and the company reached an agreement on voluntary leaving and the application of employees has already begun.

The voluntary social program package contains the severance package as prescribed by law, which is the sum of a third of the employee's earnings in the past 12 months for each year of service at Fiat, and the compensation in case of unemployment, paid by the company in the sum depending on the length of the employee's pensionable service.

The workers who choose to leave the company voluntarily may also count on the fixed amount of EUR 3,000 and they will also be paid the compensation for unused annual leave, vacation allowance for 2016 and other accrued income.
