Application of workers for leaving Fiat begins in Kragujevac

The voluntary social program package contains the severance package as prescribed by law, which is the sum of a third of the employee's earnings in the past 12 months for each year of service at Fiat, and the compensation in case of unemployment, paid by the company in the sum depending on the length of the employee's pensionable service.

The workers who choose to leave the company voluntarily may also count on the fixed amount of EUR 3,000 and they will also be paid the compensation for unused annual leave, vacation allowance for 2016 and other accrued income.

Let us remind that the company FCA Serbia announced on June 14 to the representatives of the Kragujevac factory's unions that one of the three shifts was “redundant” due to a decrease in demand for vehicles and that, following the August holidays, the factory would be operating in two shifts.

Around 3,200 workers are employed at the Kragujevac car factory, of which 2,500 with three, four or five years of service, and only 500 with 11 to 38 years of service.
