Starting January the 1st, according to the new Tariff System for transmission of the current, the big industry current consumers will be able to acquisit the current by themselves from the various distributors and to pay the expenses separately.

As it was explained in the Energy Agency, all industrial consumers that will be qualified buyers under the ceratin conditions and get the approval from the Agency, will be able to buy eletricity anywhere in the world and to pay the trasmission of the current separately.

- In order to be qualified, the company has to be the consumer of at least 3 milion KW hours annualy- they said in the Agency.- According to this rating there will be about 300 potential qualified buyers.

The Governement of Serbia, at its session held on December 13 last year, accepted the proposal of the price list of the company "Elektromreze Srbije", for usage of the transmission system of the electricity, and with this act, sorted over, for the first time the transmission of the current as the special energy service. By this act the calculation with this tariff system, for the transmission of the current, will be done more objectively, with bigger influence of the consumers and management and has direct impact to the consumtion of the energy in the cost-effectively way.

In the proximate months we are expecting the new tariff system for the distribution, and starting from April the 1 st, the new tariff system for household consumers of the electricity. Applying of the traiff system has been postponed twice, first time because of the technical reasons upon the request of the company Elektroprivreda Srbije and the second time, on September 1 everything has been stopped because of the inflation.

According to this new tariff system if some of the small consumers have not been collocated adequately the price will be specially high for those who are the small consumers. However, in the last few months the Agency together with the responsive Ministry, are working very hard on finding the right solution in which nor any category of the consumers will be in any losses.
