USD 233 million for the construction of the Surcin-Obrenovac highway

The statement by the Ministry says that Mihajlovic and the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of China and Secretary General of the Secretariat for Cooperation Between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CIEZ) Liu Haixing also signed the Memorandum of Understanding of the two institutions on the founding of the Center for Cooperation Between China and CIEZ in the areas of transport and infrastructure.

- By founding the Center for Cooperation with China in the area of infrastructure and by signing the agreement on another section of Corridor 11, we have made another step toward fortifying Serbia’s position as a transport hub in this part of Europe and the place where investments and goods from China and the EU cross ways – estimated Mihajlovic.

In addition to the agreement on the founding of the center and the construction of the section of Corridor 11, the two countries’ delegations signed another 20 agreements on the cooperation in various areas, from defense to culture.
