Serbia and China signing a memorandum of understanding on the construction of a straegic harbor in Belgrade – The value of the investment USD 300 million

A large Chinese company, which deals in harbor operations, will invest in the construction of a harbor near Pancevo, in which the Chinese have already shown interest.

Novosti says that the strategic harbor is important due to the proximity of the Zemun-Borca bridge, which was financed by a Chinese loan, but also due to the traffic conveniences, since the construction of a large industrial zone in close proximity is also planned.

The Chinese president arrives to Serbia on June 17 for a three-day visit, and the Government of Serbia has announced that around 20 agreements will be signed during the visit.

A commercial contract will also be signed with a Chinese bank for the Surcin-Obrenovac section, which will connect Corridors 10 and 11, and whose value is EUR 210 million.
