FAP to start producing armored vehicles for the Egyptian army?

- The chassis has successfully passed the initial tests. What follows is the testing in the desert, and we expect to get good news in a month. Kader says that it is very likely that the deal will be closed – says Ranko Vukovic, the general manager of FAP, for Blic.

The Egyptians are looking to buy 250 chassis, of which 88 would be delivered in a year, and the value of the first delivery would be EUR 10 million.

Another step towards getting another exporting deal is expected to take place on June 15, when Daniel Müller of the German company Wagon, which produces truck cabs for Mercedes, arrives to Priboj for the negotiations.

Considering that FAP has come down to having only 14 workers, there's a question of who will present the announced deals.

- In the first phase, we will employ 150-200 people. Priboj does have engineers and workmen, among them the children of our ex-workers, who want to and are able to work – says Ranko Vukovic.
