Valjevsko Pivo heading for America – Old brand Eichinger to return
- The last year's production of beer was 100,000 hectoliters, and it already reached 35,000 hectoliters by the beginning of June – he said and added that Valjevska Pivara was still state-owned and that it contributed to the Serbian budget with over EUR 4 million the previous year.
The average salary is 45.000 dinars. There are 205 workers and, as he said, new workers will soon be needed, especially for the production.
And while Valjevsko Pivo is conquering America, many local pubs still don't have it in their menus.
Rajevac said that the company couldn't influence the business policies of the owners of catering establishments.
- The reason why pubs in Valjevo don't serve our beer is economic in nature, since they get money for serving certain beers exclusively. We shall not be blackmailed nor shall Valjevska Pivara bargain with anyone in this manner. We are doing everything we can to keep the people happy, providing street furniture, parasols, but we shall never pay to have Valjevsko Pivo sold in Valjevo. If they need it, they know where they can get it - said the director of Valjevska Pivara.
