Negotiations with first-ranked bidder for Yugoslav River Shipping to be continued after New Year holidays

Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mlađan Dinkić said yesterday (December
27, 2007) in Kragujevac that the negotiations with the first-ranked bidder for
Yugoslav River Shipping (JRB), the consortium of companies "Daxin
Petroleum" from Singapore and "Tamoza Trading" from Cyprus,
would be resumed after the forthcoming holidays.
He said that the submitted documentation of that bidder was regular. Minister reminded that the second-ranked bidder, company "Palmali Shipping", lodged complaint that concerned irregularity of the documents the first-ranked bidder submitted.
- Some time ago, the Ministry froze the process, the tender was stopped, the documentation was examined and its regularity was confirmed. The decision was made that the negotiations with the first-ranked bidder should be resumed after the New Year holidays – said Dinkić.
He added that the legal period for the negotiations with the first-ranked bidder for Yugoslav River Shipping to end was one month, as well as that there was possibility of prolongation for another 30 days.
