Mild increase in loans in Serbia, enterprises reduce payment delays

The total value of loans for the economy, entrepreneurs and citizens of Serbia at the end of May was RSD 2,160 billion, which is 0.6% more than in April, announced the Association of Serbian Banks. Enterprise loans were around RSD 1,347 billion, which is 0.4% less relative to the previous month.

The total citizen loans increased by 1.1% and were RSD 741 billion, whereas entrepreneur loans decreased by 0.1% and were RSD 46 billion. At the end of May, the repayment of 12.6% of total debts was late, which is 0.8% less than in April. The share of legal entity loans whose payment was delayed came down from 16.6% to 15.3%.

The payment of 16.5% entrepreneur loans and 7.3% citizen loans is still late.
