Constitutive session of the National Assembly of Serbia to take place on June 3

The constitutive session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia will be held on Friday, 3 June 2016.

Saturday is the final deadline for the constitution of the new convocation of the Assembly, which will consist of a total of 10 candidate lists.

Up until yesterday, however, the political parties hadn't received invitations, which the law proscribes should be sent to the future members of the Assembly not later than one day before the constitutive session.

Maja Gojkovic will convene the session as the president of the former convocation of the Assembly, whereas the new one will be presided by Dragoljub Micunovic, from the Democratic Party list, as the oldest member of the Assembly. He will be aided by the youngest member of the Assembly, as is proscribed in the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly.
