Ćuprija-based "MIP" on auction on January 25, 2008


Privatization Agency and Share Fund have
schedulled auction for sale of 26.2% of assets of Ćuprija-based “Metal-processing
Company (MIP) – processing equipment” for
January 25th.
The package that will be offered for sale consists of 6.25% of
assets owned by Republic Pension and Disability Insurance Fund and 19.77% of
assets owned by the Share Fund of Republic of Serbia.
Starting price on the auction is 44,939,000 RSD, while the deposit for participation in the auction amounts to 22,469,500 RSD.
In the 1980's and 1990's, complex company "MIP - processing equipment" had ten units and it was the leading manufacturer of industrial reservoirs of all dimensions, pressure pots, castings of all kinds, measuring electronic equipment and other products that were exported to the countries of former Soviet Union, Germany, Austria, Italy, Poland.
At that time, MIP had 1,100 workers and it now has about 200 employees. It mainly produces cisterns, reservoirs and pots and its annual business income amounts to about 250m RSD.
