In the first three months 2016, Serbia increase export of agricultural products by 7%

Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Snezana Bogosavljevic-Boskovic has said today that in the first three months of 2016, agricultural exports increased by 7% in the same period last year.

At a press conference held at the Novi Sad Fair, where results of the ministry headed by her, in the period between two international agricultural fairs, Bogosavljevic-Boskovic said that in the first three months this year, imports of agricultural products decreased by 11% i.e. surplus in agriculture was generated, 28.7% higher than in the same period last year.

According to her, last year’s export of agricultural and food products from Serbia was the highest so far, totaling over EUR 2 billion, or more precisely, between 2.5 and 2.6 billion, and surplus in 2015 was also the most important so far and is more than 12.4% higher than surplus was in 2014.

She outlined that in the past year production of fruit and vegetables significantly increased.
