In 2015, banks in Serbia earn RSD 9,7 billion - Winners headed by Intesa, highest minus at Hypo Alpe Adria

Total pre-tax profit of all 30 banks in Serbia at the end of 2015 totaled RSD 9.7 billion, which is RSD 6.2 billion more than at the end of last year, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS)published.

The NBS report states that 17 banks had profit and 13 recorded a minus.

The list of five banks with the largest profit comprises Banca Intesa (RSD 9.7 billion), UniCredit Bank (RSD 6.6 billion), Raiffeisen Bank (RSD 4.8 billion, AIK Bank (RSD 3.4 billion) and Eurobank (RSD 2.9 billion).

Five banks with the largest loss are Hypo Alpe Adria Bank (RSD 7.8 billion), Commercial Bank (RSD 6.4 billion), Piraeus Bank (RSD 3.9 billion), JUBMES Bank (RSD 1.8 billion) and Telenor Bank (RSD 1,2 billion).

In all banks in Serbia at the end of the fourth quarter, there were 24.257 employees, 130 less than in previous quarter.

Total net assets of banking sector totaled app. RSD 3,048 billion, while total assets totaled 619.1 billion.

Problematic loans at the end of 2015 totaled RSD 424.6 billion, which is 400 m less than at the end of the third quarter. The share of problematic loans in total loans was 21.6% which is a decrease of 0.3%.
