Criminal responsibility for tax evasion higher than RSD 5 m - Tax advisors suggest increase of current limit of RSD 150.000

The reason is, as concluded at the Congress, to relieve the prosecution and courts, which are now overwhelmed with trivial cases which can be dealt with more efficiently in misdemeanor proceedings.

- In addition, we will propose to the Ministry of Justice that taxpayers who perform self-registration of non-tax revenues are not processed in criminal proceedings if out of these revenues after self-registration they pay tax and interest- the Association of Tax Advisors said for today.

At the Congress, among other things, they discussed implementation of the Law on Corporate Income Tax and the Law on Personal Income Tax, as well as harmonization of implemented Law on Inspection Control and the Law on Tax Procedure and Tax Administration.
