Vranje-based Alfa Plam reported RSD 765.1m in 1Q16 sales, up 14.4%

Export amounted to EUR 3.1m, up 6.8% y/y. The company’s production in the period was up 13.8%, speaking in production units, while this is all worth 23.5% higher vs. a year ago. Operating profit was down to just RSD 3.5m versus RSD 69.2m from 1Q15, due to the higher cost of material. As a result, net profit amounted to only RSD 24.5m, down 77.3% y/y. Alfa Plam is among best performers over the last several years, while in 2016 YTD change is negative 2.7%. The company’s market capitalization now stands at EUR 47m.
