On the basis of latest research, majority of citizens of SCG in favor of division of Kosovo, only 19% in Serbia against that idea

According to the latest researches conducted by the Center for Politics Researches and Public Opinion of the Institute of Social Sciences in Belgrade for the needs of European Movement in Serbia, most of the citizens of Serbia and Montenegro is in favor of division of Kosovo into Serbian and Albanian part.

As far as Serbia is concerned, 57% of citizens is in favor of division of Kosovo, whereas the number of like-minded persons in Montenegro is smaller - 39%, but that group is bigger in comparison with 22% of citizens of the same republic who are against that idea. Only 19% in Serbia is against territorial division of Kosovo.

Research was conducted through interviews with 2,023 citizens in Serbia and 1,018 in Montenegro.
