Profit increase at AIK bank due to payment collection of previously written-off loans

AIK Bank announced Q1 2016 unaudited results that showed stagnation of core business and profit growth due to collection of previously written-off loans.
Interest income fell by 8.5 % , to RSD 2.3 billion, while profit from this segment fell less than 1 % , to RSD 1.8 billion. Income from fees and commissions increased by 9.2 % to RSD 266.3 m, while profit on this basis jumped 7.5 % to RSD 222.9 m .

Unlike last year, when AIK costs incurred write-offs and provisions of RSD 681.7 m, in Q1 2016 , positive result of RSD 309.7 m was generated. This item was the main reason for gross profit increase of 137.6 % , to RSD 1.7 billion. Assets of AIK Bank at the end of March totaled RSD 178.3 billion which is a drop of 0.4 % from the beginning of the year .
