Four companies to issue certificates for organic products starting from January 1st, 2008

- Starting from year 2008, certificates for organic products will be issued by four companies - Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Waterpower Engineering announced.

Serbian branch office of Swiss certification company SGS, "Eurocent" and "SUOLO e SALUTE SERBIAN" will be new authorized companies for certification in Serbia starting from January 1st.

So far, certification has been done only by "Organic Control System".

It is possible that the fifth certification company will start with work in 2008, but that is not for sure because the inspectors from the Ministry of Agriculture have not checked the documentation yet.
