(Illustration) Canadian Reservoir Mineral(RMC) yesterday paid USD 135 m to American mining corporation Freeport McMoran and thus, became majority owner of exploration rights in the region "Cukaru peki near Bor. This copper and gold deposit is considered to be potentially the richest in the world.

Thus RMC, along with Canadian Nevsun, paid a share of American corporations in upper part of the "Cukaru peki" project and became the owner of 60 % stake at the lower zone of the tray.

According to the report which will soon be handed over to the Serbian government after which it is expected that permits for exploitation are requested, it was noted that preparations for mine opening should start in 2019 and that deposit should become operational in 2022.

In the preliminary economic study it was stated also that mine opening costs at "Cukaru peki" which is seven kilometers far from Bor should total USD 500 m! Apart from that, it was clearly stated that the tray, at the moment, is the world's richest resource of copper and gold.
