Governmental subsidies for 23 investors - In 2015, Serbia provides EUR 98,4 m through incentives to investors

Almost all major foreign investments in Serbia were attracted by governmental subsidies for employment. Once the privilege was called subsidy, or giving funds of citizens of Serbia, was reserved for foreign investors only, but after the new Law on investments local investors have the same rights.

The Ministry of economy outline for Danas that for total amount of investment of almost two billion euros granted, app. EUR 420 m of incentives was approved, which employed around 60,000 people. Only during last year app. EUR 98.4 m was allocated for 23 investors based on it.

As far as control of how money is spent is concerned, the Ministry of economy outlines that in the past it did not exist
