"Metalac" plans construction of factory in Russia

- Company "Metalac" from Gornji Milanovac plans growth of incomes in amount of 5 to 10% on annual basis, so that the income in 2012 could exceed 100m EUR - said general manager of that company Petrašin Jakovljević.

He said that "Metalac" would end year 2007 with income in amount of 65 - 67m EUR, while the income in 2006 amounted to 62m EUR. Jakovljević announced that the part of the projected 5m EUR worth of investments in 2008 would be invested in introduction of new product lines under the brand and name of renowned world designer Karim Rashid.

- We have signed the contract with Karim Rashid on introduction of new lines in all three production programs of "Metalac" - dishes, boilers and sinks, and production will start in 2008 - CEO of Gornji Milanovac-based factory pointed out.

As he announced, the money will also be invested in commencement of production of panels and sinks of artificial marble, which is expected in the first quarter of this year, and introduction and broadening of production of enamel dishes.

Jakovljević said that the management of "Metalac" thinks about construction of factory in Russia where the growth of export of 40% is registered in the past few years.

- Metalac exported products worth 14.3m EUR in 2006 and expected value of export in this year is 16.5m EUR. The biggest growth of export will be registered on Russian market - said Jakovljević.
