Srbija kargo's Q1 profit at RSD 40 million

The rail freight transport company Srbija kargo announced Wednesay that its profit in the first quarter of 2016 was at about RSD 40 million. This company was founded in August 2015, after it was separated from Serbia's national railway company, and it turned a profit of about RSD 103 million by the year's end.
- We generated the profit thanks to a revenue growth that was RSD 148 million bigger than planned as well as owing to the reduction of fuel and energy costs by RSD 79 milllion. The costs of maintenance were cut by RSD 115 million, staff costs went down by RSD 39 million, while the costs of retention of foreign cars were reduced by RSD 66 million - said Miroljub Jevti, the acting general manager of Srbija kargo.
