VUCIC: Plan is to increase subsidies for investors

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said today that they were considering the ways to provide additional money for subsidies for investors in order to make Serbia more competitive in attracting new investments.

- We provide up to 50% of the investment value in total, and this includes the land and infrastructure as well - said Vucic.

He underlined that the data about government subsidies for each investment were recorded by the Development Agency of Serbia, adding that that process was completely transparent.

- We have a serious and precise analysis in place for every investment - the prime minister stressed.

As he pointed out, the plan is also to introduce subsidies for entrepreneurs.

- We want to encourage local entrepreneurship as well. If 25 to 30% of these entrepreneurs succeed, we will be happy - Vucic concluded.
