Positive trends and faster reforms continue - In 2017, possible debt reduction to start

Serbia will continue positive trends and initiated reforms, the professor of the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Administration Mihailo Crnobrnja, said.

- Financial consolidation and maintaining a low budget deficit will continue. I expect that in 2017, debt reduction could begin – Crnobrnja said commenting election results.

He also outlined that in Serbia this year there will be continued positive economic growth.

- However, I do not think that the economic growth will be higher than two per cent but below two percent - cited works by adding to the world conjuncture is not good enough in terms of steel.

As he says, it is highly likely privatization and restructuring of state-owned companies will end during this year or by mid-2017, which will bring tangible results.

Crnobrnja said inflation difficulties are not expected in the upcoming period either and that stable monetary policy will maintain.

- Positive trends will continue, and reform may be accelerated – Crnobrnja said.
