Yura starts preparatory works for plant construction in Leskovac - New department by the end of 2016

The city let about 3.7 hectares to Yura without compensation, which is why it received a bank guarantee of EUR 114 m which is estimated value of this location. The owner was previously failed social enterprise Jugexpres which was purchased by local government with the assistance of the Government of Serbia.

The opening of new Yura’s plant will result in unemployment decrease in the economy of the city of at least six percent. Direct profit of the City from this transaction totals RSD to 130 m, while revenues and local public utility sector, during the period of construction, will be about 100,000 euros. New Yura’s plant is important also for Serbia's budget, as it was said, which will receive income of EUR 7.3 m.
