European Central Bank keeps interest rates unchangeable

The European Central Bank(ECB) has kept today its key interest rates at the same level since it monitors effects of new measures introduced six weeks ago.

The Governing Council of ECB, as expected, voted to keep benchmark interest rate at the historical minimum of zero percent, after in March, it dropped to that level, a spokesman for ECB communicated.

At the same time, ECB maintained a marginal interest rate at 0.25 % and interest rate on deposits to minus 0.40 %.

President of the ECB Mario Draghi is expected to address.
