The group of about 10 Serbian hotel managers has formed a consortium that is willing to buy "Jat's" hotel on "Slavija", in order to turn it into the hotel with three stars intended mainly for domestic tourists.
Representatives of HORES Asociation (Association of hotel and restaurant keepers of Serbia) spoke to the State Secretary of Tourism, Goran Petković, who is willing to back their initiative for announcement of specific tender for sale of the hotel on Slavija.
- Since the number of domestic guests is decreasing more and more and evey month, because the hotels that are built have exclusively four or five stars, we would like to turn "Slaviju" into a city hotel with three stars, high quality of service and favorable price - says Milorad Štavljanin, Vice President of HORES Association.
- There are hotels with three stars in all European metropoles and they offer excellent service for 50 EUR. We would also organize the training for future hotel and restaurant managers in "Slavija" because our country lacks good personnel in that branch.
