New airline in Croatia, AWEX Croatia, with an operational base in Rijeka, is planning to start, during the summer schedule 2016 with regular traffic. The company as Croatian media report , is planning to introduce the first line in cooperation with the Serbian travel agency Fly Fly Travel.

They are talking about four lines - from Rijeka, Zadar and Brac towards Belgrade and in addition the line which wouldlink Belgrade and Portoroz in Slovenia.AWEX Croatia is owned Marjan Tuskan, former director of Air Adriatic. The fleet of new carrier will be built on the wings of regional aircraft type " Saab SF - 340" with 33 seats.Irena Cosic, head of Zadar Airport, says that " new airline will introduce the line to Vienna, and it is very interesting for us. It will be a smaller aircraft with around 30 seats, but for us, this is also good."
