Complete rehabilitation of "Carnex" - investments worth few tens of millions of euros

Jovo Šćepanović, General Manager of "Carnex", announced that the factory would be completely rehabilitated and modernized and production bottlenecks removed prior to year 2010.

- Practically, a brand new "Carnex" with brand new equipment will be built. In that way, the whole production process will be brought in accordance with the strictest quality standards. We are talking about investments worth few tens of millions of euros, and the final sum will depend on the estimate of market potentials of the factory and global ambitions of the new owner - he explained.

Parallelly with the improvement and modernization of production-technological process, "Carnex" also counts on large investments in primary agricultural production. This company also has 2,800 ha of cultivable land and it cultivates the same amount of land rented from the state.

Large investments in environment protection, that is, construction of wastewater treatment system, which should stop further polluting of Great Bačka Canal, are also in the pipeline. About 20m RSD have been set aside this year for that purpose.
