"A-Tec" won on tender for procurement of Mining Smelter Basin "Bor"

The winner on the tender for procurement of Mining Smelter Basin (RTB) "Bor" with the offered price of 466m EUR is Austrian "A-Tec". This was decided yesterday (December 3, 2007) by the tender commission.
Acocrding to the announcement of the Privatization Agency, Tender Commission also made unanimous decision that the negotiations about signing of the sales contract with "A-Tec" should start.
Deadline for conclusion of the sales contract is 30 days. In addition to payment of 466m EUR on the basis of the price for property of RTB and exploitation rights, "A-Tec" is also obliged to carry out investment program worth at least 180m EUR.
The second-ranked bidder is "Strikeforce" owned by Oleg Deripaska with the offered price of 370m EUR and investment program worth 414m EUR.
According to the tender terms, if the negotiations with the first-ranked bidder fail or if the sales contract is signed but the first-ranked bidder fails to deliver banking guarantee before the deadline, that is, if it fails to pay the price, RTB will be sold to the second-ranked bidder.
Mirko Kovač, the owner of "A-Tec" said that the whole sum for RTB would be paid within the set term and that he had already provided financial structure for that.
