We will charge mobile phones with sound?

Mobile phone users who are constantly running for chargers due to low battery, it seems they will soon be able to relax. South Korean scientists are close to discovering the charging of mobile phones in a different way.

- We have studied several ways to collect energy. Inspired with sounds in the environment, the energy was converted into electricity. Energy level, otherwise, can be used for various purposes including mobile phones which are charged during conversations or collecting noise from environment - explained Dr. Sang – dr. Sang-Voo Kim from the Institute for Nanotechnology at the University of Seoul explained.

He says that "new technology is based on the use of small nano - wires, between the two electrodes. When electrodes are exposed to voices, certain amount of electricity is created which is how mobile is charged."

He added that further research would be able to reduce the noise near highways through absorbing sound energy generated by vehicles.
