Electronic maps in private buses in Belgrade

Since few days ago, the passengers in some of the Belgrade buses (37 vehicles on lines 37, 52, 56 and 58) have the chance to track exact position of the bus at the given moment on a LCD screen. By means of this device, of which size is 1x1 m, and with the application of GPS technology, the passengers also receive information on forthcoming bus stations. The map also contains significant facilities, such as hospitals, schools and important cultural facilities. The monitors have been installed by compaby Serbmedia.

According to Ivana Živanović, PR manager of this company, installation of this service in the vehicles of companies Domiko, Beobus and "Group of private transportation companies" is underway, so that there will be total of 180 private buses with this service prior to the end of year 2007.
