Opening of 15 new facilities of "Pekabeta" in Serbia soon

This year, "Pekabeta" renovated 40 retail facilities, whereas renovation of the remaining stores will be carried out until the end of year. Also, the plan is that 15 new markets be opened, which means that, with existing 67 markets, the trade chain of "Pekabeta" will consist of total of 83 facilities.

When "Delta" bought "Pekabeta" the chain consisted of 156 facilities, most of which worked without profit. Before it merged with "Delta holding", "Pekabeta" used to employ 2,200 people, whereas it now employs 820.

As soon as the facilities were closed, most of the personnel got jobs in "Maxi" supermarkets. The interesting thing is that "Pekabeta" today realizes bigger profit with less employees, which, of course, resulted in increase in monthly incomes. Average salary in "Pekabeta" is 17,500 CSD.
