Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic opened today a 5.6 kilometer stretch of the Corridor X from Grabovnica near Leskovac to Grdelica for traffic, announcing that the highway from Presevo and the Macedonian border to Subotica or Sid would have been finished by this time next year.
Vucic noted that the highway for citizens in Leskovac, Grdelica and the Jablanica and Pcinj regions means new jobs and investments, underlining that investors from Turkey's Teklas who had financed the construction of factory in Vladicin Han would invest more, but only if a new highway was built.

He said that there were 400 workers from 49 subcontractors from Serbia working on the construction of highway in every moment.

Grabovnica-Grdelica stretch is part of the southern arm of the Corridor X. Works on this stretch, financed by the World Bank, were completed a month and a half ahead of the deadline, which was May 31st.

Greece's Terna and local subcontractors were also building a 26.3 kilometer stretch between Vladicin Han and Donji Neradovac near Vranje, which was opened for traffic in November 2015.

The agreed value of works on both stretches was at about EUR 100 million.
