The foundation stone for the Mei This in Baric is great news for all of us, because it is the first plant in Belgrade being built since 2005, the mayor of Belgrade, Sinisa Mali said on Saturday, April 2 2016, Beoinfo reports.

- In the last 11 years, no new plant has been built in Belgrade, this will be the first. The investment totals EUR 60 m and in the coming period in two stages, it will employ 1,400 workers. This is only part of the free zone "Beograd", the second part is in Krnjaca, where we will also work on attracting a large part of investors, and we will work together and with Lazarevac, Mladenovac, Surcin and all other parts of the city that have available land so that someone would build in these areas a factory or a warehouse. As for the Government of the Republic of Serbia, our goal is also to generate new vacancies and we will not give up - Sinisa Mali said.

He reminded that after catastrophic floods, Obrenovac looked like a city without a future, and the cornerstone for a new factory, with all done so far, is the culmination of the reconstruction of the city.

The mayor announced at the same time a large number of investments in the capital in the next days.
