Gazprom expects record high gas exports to Europe

Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller has said that the company expects record-high gas exports to Europe in 2016.
- The growth rate has already reached 9.9%, and we expect the volume of exports to hit a record high this year. In any case, market dynamics arepositive at the moment. The most important is that we see a substantial hike in demand in countries that were net exporters until recently. These are Great Britain, the Netherlands... We also notice a higher demand for our products in northwest Europe - Miller told the press.
According to him, the lawyers of Gazprom and the Nord Stream 2 company, which is in charge of the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 project, have come to a conclusion that a stretch of the future gas pipeline that will go under the Baltic Sea is not subject to the provisions of the EU Third Energy Package.
