February 2016 industrial production in Serbia up 14% YoY

Industrial production in Serbia in February 2016 was 14% bigger than the year before and 2% below the average in 2015, the Republic Statistical Office announced today.
Growth rate in the sectors of electricity, gas and steam supply and air conditioning was at 22.3%, while production in the mining sector and the processing industry grew 16.4 and 10.9 percent, respectively.

Power generation in February went up 20.1%, while the production of permanent consumer goods grew 9.2%. The greatest influence on industrial production growth in February 2016 was the generation of electricity, printing and multiplication of audio and video recordings, production of chemicals and chemical products, coal mining, and food production.

Industrial production in the first two months of this year grew 11.3% y-o-y.
