A lot of palaces across Europe are put up for sale, but very few of them can provide you with the title of feudal lord.
Charming Castello di Sismano in Umbria, which was in the possession of the famous royal family Corsini (two of the family members were popes) for 1,054 years is now for sale along with 850 hectares of arable land, a forest, fields, pastures, and an 18-hectare olive yard.
The palace along occupies about 18,000 square meters. It features 40 rooms and 20 bathrooms, a yard and a swimming pool. Aside from the castle, this offer also includes a hamlet with seven villas, two small residential houses, two garages, a warehouse, a clock tower and a guardhouse, a restaurant... not bad to start the reign with...
Until recently, a direct descendant of the Corsini family was using a part of the castle, so that potential new owners may have some reconstruction work to do.
However, USD 8.3 million seems a small price for becoming an Italian prince.
