Metals bank obtained license for custody bank

Metals bank from Novi Sad has announced that it obtained license for activities of custody bank.

By the decision of the Securities Commission, the bank obtained license for opening and running collective custody accounts, opening and running securities accounts, activities related to schedulling and organization of Assembly of stockholders of the companies and representation of stockholders, registration of stocks and other securities in Central Registry, as well as payment of dividends.

Thus, Metals bank became one of ten banks in Serbia that are in custody business and deal with domestic and foreign investment and pension funds.

Since mid-2007, the bank enables procurement of investment units of investment funds Fima ProActive and Focus Premium, while broker department of the Sector for HOV bank offers possibility of direct participation in Belgrade Stock Exchange.

According to the announcement, Metals Bank also obtained license to carry out activities of representation in insurance business, thanks to which it will be offering life insurance policies starting beginning of December and they will be available through business network of the bank that consists of 101 business units.
